1986 GMC Sierra Classic
During the last 9 weeks of tech school, a student could go to work rather than be in class if they had an automotive related job.
I was still driving my 1964 Impala daily when I went to work for Irv Shroeder Motors a GM dealer in Hillsboro Ks.
While there, this GMC was traded in on a new pickup. I snagged it up and drove it for years.
My wife and I dated and actually left our wedding reception for our honeymoon in this truck.
My vision for this project was always to be able to pop the hood and it would look like a truck from the mid-60's.
It is now sporting a '62 truck 327, '68 327 four bbl intake, ram horn manifolds, and early 70's quadrajet (not pictured).
Also a Suburban rear fuel tank that I plan on filling from behind the left rear taillight.
